Woodworking Classes

Woodworking Classes start October 21.  We're mixing it up this season with a combination of demonstration and hands-on classes.  

All classes are on Saturdays and run from 10 a.m. to noon.

October 21:  Sharpening Plane Irons, Chisels, and Cabinet Scrapers

There are many ways to achieve a good edge on these tools.  Jason's method is simple and can be easily learned and mastered.

This is a FREE class.

October 28:  Using Hand Planes, Chisels, and Cabinet Scrapers

Hand planes come in a myriad of shapes and sizes.  Jason will show you how to use the most common. 

Chisels are simple and versatile tools and in this class Jason will demonstrate some of their many uses. 

What's faster?  Cabinet scraper or sander? 

This is a FREE class.

November 18:  Hand Cutting Through and Half-Blind Dovetails

In this hands-on class, you'll learn to cut these classic and timeless joints. 

Wood and tools provided. 

Class size limited to 4 people.  $50 fee

November 30:  Butterfly Key Inlays

Natural edge slabs are very popular now.  Learn how to control a crack while adding some pizzazz to your project.

This is a FREE class.

December 9:  Making a Wooden Mallet

A wooden mallet is a must in the furniture shop.  Build one in this 2 hour workshop. 

This is a hands on class. 

Wood and tools provided. 

Class size limited to 64 people.  $20 fee

December 16:  Milk Painting nd Distressing Furniture

Up-scaling used furniture is very popular and a great way to give old pieces new life. 

This is a FREE class.

January 6: Router Basics

This is hands-on class on router basics. 

Bring your router and some bits. 

This is a FREE class.

January 27:  Spoon Carving

Learn how to turn your scrap pieces into useful and wanted spoons.

This is a FREE class.
